Michael Stevens is a learning designer and writer who has been crafting high-quality learning experiences for nearly twenty years, including e-learning content, gamified education and educational books.

With a Masters in Science Communication, Michael specialises in researching complex content, assessing needs of learners, quickly identifying core learning gaps, and shaping narratives into appropriate learning solutions. He has worked as a senior learning designer for a number of educational companies including EMPGI, Folens Publishers, and Skillsoft. In this time, he has grappled with a range of subject matter and concepts, including those of Mathematics, Science, and Language Arts. Always looking for creative solutions to delivering complex content, Michael is also a songwriter and writer of children’s stories.

Michael planned and wrote RISE UP Science, and has also made valuable contributions to other RISE products.
