Marc Diamond is a graphic designer with over 18 years of experience in the production of digital games, e-learning content, and educational books.
Marc has a degree in Applied Graphics with Multimedia Technology and worked for years as a senior graphic designer in Riverdeep and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Marc was one of the lead graphic designers on the Destination Math product, and he trained and led the graphic designers who worked on Destination Reading. With his many years of experience, Marc has expertise in a wide variety of areas of graphic design, such as e-learning design, game design, user interface design, UIX, illustration, animation, character design and modelling, logo design, and much more. He also has experience in managing small and large teams of designers, having provided art design and production management on a number of major projects. Marc is also familiar with and proficient in a number of different technologies and tools, including Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, html5, Spine, Articulate, and Captivate.
Since his days in Riverdeep and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (from 2006), Marc has set up his own design company (Wee Gem) and has worked on a number of international projects in London, Bucharest, Delhi and San Francisco. He was creative or art director for Thoughtbox and Sugra Game, before joining Highwood last year. He is also a lecturer in game design at Pulse College in Dublin.
Marc is currently leading a team of graphic designers in Highwood in the design of rTunes and Jelly Phonics for RISE, to be delivered in September of this year.
